Coach the Coach-- Developing a Repertoire of Approaches to Coaching Situations

This meeting will focus on sharing ideas about what makes the most effective coaching practices which coaches face.  Coaches address other people's challenges and opportunities and have to learn about how to coach the person and not the problem.  We'd like to share stories and experiences about both the people and the problems we have had the opportunity to coach.

Among the questions that will be considered and discussed are:

  • What ethical dilemmas, if any, have you faced as a coach and how did you resolve them/it?
  • What is the most challenging coaching issue that you have focused on with a client?  How did you address it, and what were the results?
  • If you had known "then" what you know "now", what would you have done differently to prepare as a coach?
  • What is the client that you should have let get away?  What lessons did you learn?  What did it "cost" you?
  • Best advice you could give to a new coach to build his/her practice.
  • Peer coaching opportunity where would you derive value from being coached?  Life and business coaches will be available for 15-minute coaching session with you.
Core Competencies:  Ethics and Standards, Managing Progress and Accountability, Planning and Goal Setting

CCEUS:  This program satisfies the requirement of 1.0 CCEUs for Core Competencies and 0.5 for Resource Development.
