June Coaching Conversation

When: 6/18/2019 4:30 PM - 5:45 PM
Where:
MayoBird, 1531 East Blvd, Charlotte, NC

The vision of Coaching Conversations is to afford coaches, both new and experienced, an additional opportunity to share best coaching practices, experiences and challenges so they can grow professionally in a relaxed environment. Each session will be facilitated by an experienced coach from our chapter and will focus on a specific skill or competency that relates to the art and process of coaching. There will be group conversations and experiential exercises. This programming is free to Chapter members and affiliates, both of whom can bring guests interested in exploring the coaching profession.

Topic:  Aligning Actions to Outcomes and Overcoming Doubts

For ourselves and for our clients we may hesitate to execute on our best ideas.  Exploring our clients' doubts and getting them clear on their desired outcomes can help them identify actions that they are more fully committed to.

Questions that we will explore during this "Coaching Conversations" event are:

  • How clear do our clients need to be on outcomes before crafting an action plan?
  • What kinds of actions do we facilitate them considering?  Safe and comfortable or a little risky and stretchy?
  • What role does courage play?
  • What doubts or hesitations do our clients have that may be in the way of taking action?
  • What are some ways in which we can help clients overcome doubts, fears, the unknown?
  • What's the best way for our clients to be held accountable?  By themselves?  The coach?  Other?
